Very nice. You show both Messages and Today as a tab, but the ss shows both the Calendar and Messages on the same screen, why two tabs? It would be better if each tab had their own screen, then you could show more calendar and message entries on each screen.

oh okay, so I guess you aren't able to scroll up inside the Today screen and open the message or calendar item, which would also open that application?

you can select and open calender and message item.
open today and press right to select calender and up/down to select sub entries
