I installed a theme designed for the 8900 and when I went to uninstall it later there was no Delete option. The theme seemed to work fine on my 9700. I had to use Desktop Manager to remove it.

Q. I have installed themes designed for the 8900 before but I was able to delete them without any problem. Any idea why there was no delete option?

I've only ever seen the "Delete" option not being displayed when you are either using the theme or if its the system Precision Zen theme.

You can always delete a theme via "Options > Applications" too.

I installed a theme today and couldn't go back to default theme so had to delete it through Options>applications.
