Ive been dragging my feet about this one since I wanted to do a complete "new" build in Theme builder 5 based on my 9000 theme v3.4, but it is quite a hassle to go from 9000 to 9700 and and it seems easier to go from 4.6 curve to 5.0 so as starters for the 9700 I present you the Precision7 v3..

A lot of You know it from Curve/Tour/Bold9000 and I had numerous requests for a OS5 update.

Generally it is a "2 step" collapsable dock holding 7 precison icons on top of 5 fixed buttons. Put weather app as first app in app screen.

Scrolling to the weather app will (hopefully ) hide all other icons and you have a very wallpaper friendly theme.

Scrolling down will reveal all icons and buttons and scrolling further down will hide the 7 "big" icons leaving room for a shaded today area when you go to Messages or calendar (also SMS in this version although I know it is of no use in OS5. I will update when I know it works as intended)

Going left from the weather app take you to profiles and then a glowing alarm "button" and finally a also glowing signal area which naturally opens the clock app and the manage connections app.

THIS is what I need some help and feedback on, since I own a 9000 I have no way to test 8900/9600/9700 themes and by experience I know I cannot trust the the alignment show on screen in themebuilder. So please let me know if everything is aligned and working as it should (i.e. the alarm and connection button should be 100% aligned to create a "glow" in these areas. Be so kind to include screenshots in your comments and I will do my best to tweak and subsequently start the upgrade to v 3.4, which is far better IMO

I also prefer without transitions but peoples in general expect them in a 5.0 theme. First step for me is to make sure everythin works and aligned. Then I can start making specials..

Oh, sweet. I had used the 8900 version when I first got my 9700 because I loved it so well on my 9000.
I will download and give some feedback. I'm glad you made a version especially for the 9700.

The only issue I've encountered is the alignment of the clock and manage connections "glow" - they are indeed off.

Edit: Could you please make a version with the BBM tab instead of SMS like you had on the last version??? TIA

This theme is great! Very smooth and easy on the eyes. As mentioned above, both the alarm and connections glows are off. I'm not sure how many pixels but the alarm glow is about a third of its size to the right. The connections glow is a little under half of its size too far to the left. Sorry again I don't know how to tell how many pixels that is. If you can explain how to count exactly how many pixels I'd be more than happy to help.
There is one other thing that no one has mentioned. On my 9700, the roaming triangle overlaps with the signal strength bars.
Hope that helps and keep up the great work.

Been using it all day; very nice. I would prefer no-transitions and looking forward to the upgrade already. Nice work!

Is it possible to have browser selection under the browser menu? I use Opera Mini, and the browser defaults to the blackberry browser.

Great to see it for the 9700. Was my favourite on my 9000.

A few small issues I've noticed:

I'm using BerryWeather and the weather icon is slight too far to the right and slightly too high.

In addition the Battery & Profiles icons are slightly too close to the weather icon.

The darkened area for the Calendar, Messages seems to be a bit to the left so that the left edge is all but hidden.

Any chance of being able to highlight the weather icon when it is selected - either a highlight or a bounce?

Finally I prefer transitions so I would vote to keep them but I would also like to see some transparency in the menus as well. if possible

From a Tour user, thanks so much! Like the others, we've been waiting a long time for this one.

Since you can't see this on your BB, I'll try to send some pictures so you can get an idea of how things look.

We really appreciate you taking the time to update this for our phones.

The clock glow may need to go a little left. (I found out after the original post that the alarm icon appears to be correctly positioned, but the glow is off to the right)

Up and down on the manage connections glow looks pretty close. The glow may need to go right about 20 pixels as a first guess. I think the 1XEV is just a bit low - but I'm being really picky since you asked.

The new BerryWeather2 icons are a little bigger than the first version, so they tend to look out of place. I have the temperature in the bottom right side of the icon which is why it cuts off the right edge, but there is a setting to move the temperature to the bottom center or left and that will take care of that.

I think the shaded today area is fine - it's just that the right edge of the shaded area gets lighter making it look off center.

Just one more thing I've noticed on my 9700 is that past appointments are not clearing from the Calendar section when they have expired.
