I have a 9700... absolutely love the phone.

I rarely use the headphones, but today I wanted to give them a try so I could watch some podcasts.

I've noticed a clicking in the right ear piece- "click click click, pause..... click click click click, pause...... click click" and so on.

It does not do this with the loud speaker/ear speaker. Also, it doesn't favor any particular song or video. The clicking persists with anything I play. (only through the right ear piece)

I read somewhere that cleaning out the plug on the phone may fix it, if that's the case, what would be the best way to clean it out? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    TIA,
    MAK

Heya Mak. Have you tried other sets of headphones/earbuds to see if the problem persists? You can clean your headphone jack with a Q-tip. Be gentle though.

You could also try blowing it out with compressed air.

If compressed air doesn't do it, and a battery pull doesn't do it, then you'll need to take it in for a warranty exchange or repair.
