The theme you are using is what sets how many icons you can have on your home screen... You can find some themes in this thread that have I believe up to 10 icons.

Hopefully I will release it tonight. It is a premium theme for $3 and I will be adding Today Plus versions with the hidden Dock as well to make more use of the hidden dock.
