I don't know what BB FileScout is.

I extract the zip file to my desktop, then connect BB to PC, open BBSAK, click modify CODs, install CODs (select the file on my desktop that I extracted), and that's it. The theme is installed. No need for DM. You can also use BBSAK to wipe device, install OS, etc.

Here's where to get BBSAK. RIMGeeks.com • View topic - [Beta][10/25/09] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.7.0

    ah I see...ok.

btw, BB FileScout is a utility program, similar to a Windows PC Explorer program for searching/copying, etc files.. I use this program to load new custom folder icons onto the phone..

Ok. I probably wouldn't use BB FileScout, since I do not have the talent to build themes.

I love BBSAK, since it is easier than DM for installing new OS and themes.

I have seen that too, but it really wasn't a big deal to me.

Version 3 has the weather slot. I haven't tried it since the date display has been corrected. I just downloaded it again, but I have not installed it yet.

Just installed #3 using BBSAK. It works great. That's the one I'll use, since I want Today w/weather slot.

I haven't installed the latest one since you fixed the date truncation. I'll try later when I'm at the PC.

This is version 1.3, and I'm running 5.0.0.411 OS. I downloaded the zip file 1.3 for 5.0 OS.

well from the look of your post before, it appears you currently have the correct version installed.. not sure what was up with Andy's though.. they are or should be the same.. I just re-exported them and made an OTA link..

Cool! I won't bother with OTA since zip file was good.

I'm unsure of what exactly Andy's OS is. I haven't heard of that 5.0 he is using, unless it is some beta or hybrid.

I'm running .411 like you but the zip did not work but the OTA does:
