How do you get a new theme on your Bold?

Hello, I am an extreme noob with BlackBerry and I want a new theme for my bold. Can anyone help me out? I want a background on my main menu but it wont let me. Can someone please help me out.

Take a look at the 101 link in my signature and look for theme basics. And for the background go to a picture highlight it and select set as home screen image

Ive tried this as well making one of the pictures i take with the phone as one of my wall papers. Just wondering though at times, i look at the pic and its full on the screen then couple mins or hours (havent noticed the time) it shows black bars on the left and right of the screen like it shrank the pic. Do you know whats up with that?

That's strange. Use zoom when viewing the pic. Once you have it the size you want it, set as wallpaper.
