Through BBFILESCOUT I can get into the folder system/samples/folder icons and can see the png files for the self defined file folders.

This directory is hidden in the PC mass storage mode. I can not unhide it

Is there any way to make new png files and paste them into the folder?

I know that if I can open an existing png in Adobe Photoshop, I can make a new file using the original file as a template then save as ... but I can not seem to have a way to open the original file and save the new file in the same directory.

you have to import or transfer each "new" folder icon you want to use.

I made several folder icons in Gimp, saved them as png files and then copied them onto my media card. Then use BBFileScout to move/rename them into the default folder directory.

What is the px size required for the png?

Ok. I made versions on photoshop 40x40px and also 80x80px saved as png.
using BBFileScout I was able to drop the icons into the folder icon directory.
When I go to edit icon in the home page I can see the new icon.
Then select the icon and save.
The folder icon shows a white outline, empty icon.

    ideas??

I had used this procedure on Bold9000 with OS 4.6.xx
Now that I upgraded to the official OS 5.0.0.411 the new icons that I had used before are still in the folder. BUT, the new icons are not available to change on a folder. Only the generic OS icons are seen and available. IDEAS??
