As some of you know, AT&T released a wireless upgrade for BB and I'm not really sure if this was asked before and I have never done a wireless upgrade before but I was wondering the following..

    1. How long does it take? Im bored at work and would like to run it now if it doesnt take forever

    2. Do i need to back up all of my stuff for a wireless upgrade?

From what I've seen here, it hasn't gone so well. Hanging up, taking forever, etc. I think I would skip the wireless upgrade if given the chance.

I just did it and it took approximately 30 minutes. It backs up your data before it upgrades and restores it after it's done.

I didn't encounter any problems, but maybe I was lucky. =D

^you're the first person that i've read about that did it wirelessly.
Good to know that it works well.

To the original poster, I'd wait and back up first. Always best to backup often!

It's because yours is from a carrier other than AT&T. Besides, .247 is newer and more advanced than the one currently offered by AT&T.

    Go with .282, it's a beast.

That's because AT&T has no upgrade available, .167 is the latest OS for the Bold. If you really want, upgrade to .282 via desktop manager.
