    Hi guys,

I just would like to ask you for help as it makes me crazy. I got BB 9000 as a gift but dont want to pay for data plan. So I just setup my wifi connection (havent inserted SIM card to the phone) and wanted to open browser. But I got message "Your device does not currently have any Browser Configuration Service Book Entries. Please contact your service provider to enable the Browser on your device". Google helped me and I tried Host Routing Table. Delete Service books, undelete. Downloaded Service books for wifi, restore via BDM. No success. Is there any different way? And could anybody send the link to the Opera Mini for BB 9000? Thanks a lot.

    Welcome to the forums!

I suggest that you update your device to the latest 5.0 available. After that, open the browser, Menu > Options and find the dropdown that allows you to set it for WiFi browser only.

That will get you the browser. But like Warlack said, there are things that are wired into the OS to only work with BIS. It will be a good phone and nice PDA still.

Thanks both. The main problem is that I cant open the browser. When I try it get error message mentioned above. I also tried to open Options - Advanced Options - Browser but there is just "Default browser configuration" and nothing could be changed. And you are right, I updated to the latest 5.0 version. Any suggestions? Thanks...

    Yes. A security wipe.

And take notice I said "open browser", options in there are totally different from the stuff you get in the Options icon.
