I used the one for signal. It changes the signal thing but I guess it is dependant on if the theme is setup to show it correctly. I used it on this one theme and I just has a dash where the image was. It may be that I didn't have a signal at the moment of using it because I am in a lower signal area so my BB is almost always on roam out here. I would love if there was a shortcut like these for the battery.

i know there's tons of shortcuts descriptions out there, but the moment you needed, often can't recall. I downloaded the freeware app called gref, a personal pocket reference application and by default, there is a great shortcut reference included. For those interested in this really great and free app, here's the link:

To use the hidden menus on a storm firstly display the full keyboard (landscape view) which you can do from the full menu by pressing the option key and selecting 'Show Keyboard'. On the email activation screen the keyboard comes up anyway.

Memorise where the letters are on the keypad that you need to enter and then press and hold the ALT button so that it locks. The keyboard will change to numbers and symbols. You now need to press the keys you memorised.

    For example:
ALT-N-M-L-L Turns signal strength into numbers
    .. turns into ..
    ALT ! , " "

    ALT-CNFG Enterprise activation menu
    .. turns into ..
    ALT 9 ! 6 /

Ever since I learned about ALT L G L G I can't stop doing it. Seriously I do it right before I open my browser - every time!

I've used it to show the signal strength in numbers several times, but after a day it always reverts back to bars.
