I have a bold 9000....brought it off ebay for like 90 bucks....but I have to tell you not to get it....to slow...no browser (per say)...you not able to load many apps at all....and you will reboot it like every 15mins....
If i was texting and a phone call came through...it would freeze and i would not be able to answer the phone...had to do a battery pull. Now I only use it for music and bridging with by PB. I would say get the 9900....its really good and feels simply awesome in the hand.....
The Bold 9000 was my first BlackBerry, and I still have it. I recently bought a new bezel and battery cover and it looks as good as new again. I still use it occasionally for nostalgia sake. As mentioned the phone has very very limited amount of memory. You really can't install many apps at all, even after shrinking the hell out of the OS. I had to install older version of apps like twitter, BBM to make it work smoothly. The keyboard is not as good as the Q10, but is still pretty darn good.
If you're just using it for emails, whatsapp, bbm, twitter, etc, it's still a great device to use.
I don't think anyone who has ever had the pleasure of owning one of these DON'T still pull it out from time to time. It's my bluetooth keyboard for my PB lol. The keyboard is sooooo fluid, I don't know if I agree with the previous post......I think the 9000's keyboard is WAY better than the Q10's. Let's face it, the real authentic last Blackberry keyboard was on the 9900, but the Bold 9000 just felt so much better in my hands. Not like a toy, but like a business tool, that's what the 9000 felt like in your hands....adding to it's allure. Yup, I still use mine.
Yep me too, it travels the world as my holiday phone, I've had several since it came out, but nothing makes it so easy to text/email as that fab keypad on the bold 9000 :-)

Toatally what i was thinking, well, I am using Bold 9000 now and feeling awesome) Just install some software like shortcutme, copy all, IM+, Repligo Reader, Document to go, BBM, Berry Buzz,... and use a DLC battery which is longer than bold 9000 battery. I do believe that It is not important which device you are using, which is really important is how you use it

I've got BB9000 for 2 weeks and now i'm discovering it
Yep I switch over to my trusted 9000 once a month for like a week to give it some love and I still love the feel of the size and battery life I feel to me is about the same as my 9900.
At the moment, i have a both bold 9000&8700. I'd like to use them even when i bought new smartphone android. Their design look so great. Love keyboard.
My 9000 sits on the side of my bed it's my back up phone but because my Z10 hasn't got a cradle I use the 9000 as my bed side clock. Love the classic design.
I love my old 9000, (have had her for 6 years) and aside from having to change the trackball occasionally she works great BUT I cannot use any apps as they are all too big, I even had to delete FB and new version of BBM works badly
How do you shrink the OS and get older versions of apps etc, I am not very tech savvy but sure would love to get more out of my old girl as I have at least 50 fabulous cases for her...LOL!!!
I also have an iphone 4 and use both on different carriers, any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!
