    Hi everyone. Please help me:

I recently upgraded the OS from .216 to .247 on my bold. My carrier (3uk) only supports the 216 so I installed the vodafones latest.

Problem is now I can't download media from my carriers intranet/wap site. Downloading works anywhere else, just not on my carriers musicstore etc.

Is this to be expected or does anyone know of a fix???

    Cheers

You delete the vendor file prior to installing the OS?

it might seem long winded but try going back to the latest official OS from 3UK and if the phone then works again you know that the upgrade was the problem.

I'm an Orange UK customer running Vodafone (UK) .282 and have had no problems since the upgrade. I know lots of people on here have opted for newer OS on their phones from different carriers to their own and as long as they've deleted the vendor.xml file have had no problems. Seems funny that 3UK would be out on their own restricting service.

Perhaps try a complete wipe of the handset and re-install of your chosen OS

Have you also considered that maybe you are using the wrong browser? I know on my Orange phone I have Internet Browser, Hotspot Browser and Orangeworld Browser. I needed to use Orangeworld to access Orange's cover of the Ashes but Orangeworld was still an option for me after upgrading to Vodafone's OS. Maybe with 3 you need to use their equivalent of Orangeworld Browser which you had set as default before the upgrade but now it isn't?

Thanks mark. Wat I'm gonna do is try the new att upgrade which was launched today. If that still don't work, I will go back down the 3UK supported build as painful as it will be lol. By the way, I tried yr orangeworld equivalent trick, no luck there! Cheers anyways, will let every1 know wat happens
