Blend is great if you've forgotten your phone somewhere, but how much better would it be if you could activate Blend remotely on the phone?

I have Blend on my work computer and would be thoroughly pissed if someone there was able to remotely activate it on my phone.

Because signing in with your password would be so inconvenient...

I'm just not a fan of remote access to activate anything on my phone. If someone figures out my phone password, they have to get physical access to my phone. Not easy as my phone is always with me. If they could activate Blend remotely, they could gain access at will.

How would the phone be told to turn on if Blend service isn't running on the phone?

If the phone is on, you should be able to enable the Blend service on it remotely. Just like you can use BB Protect to lock it, send a message, play a noise, etc...

That's because Protect is enabled and service is running.

You are wanting more features of BlackBerry Protect.

You can probably get similar functionality with golden retriever app already.

    Aargh!

BlackBerry really needs to provide the option to remotely activate Blend.

Really the only times I want to use it is when I've left the phone somewhere - in the car, in another room, etc... And of course I usually leave Blend off...
