I installed that BAR file and still no luck. Comes out with the same "internal devise" message.
Got the same result on my Z10 STL100-3 running 10.3.0.1154. I also side loaded the bar (and I am not sure it is newer than the bar file that was already there). Not working, period.

Um I am not a moron, I read the entire thread. Maybe you didnt get the jest of what I was saying. That it is unfair that competitor devices get access to it and existing BB10 users do not. Unless you have a passport. Honestly this launch in my opinion and the hype along with it. Is a HUGE FAIL! I thought Chen was going to do different things. Seems to me he is following in the steps of Thor perfectly... If I had a Passport or the Porsche, do you think I would be making this post?
I won't comment on the moron part.

But the dependency lies on which BlackBerry device you have. You can download blend on your ipad/android/whatever, but it still won't work. I don't see how "competitor devices get access to it and existing bb10 users do not".

Seeing as your name is thatplaybookguy, are you referring to your PlayBook not having blend? You've got bridge, which does most of the same things (and has done so for quite some time!)

Passport and Classic can use Blend.
Also, anyone with the following PINs can use Blend:

Noted with many thanks . . . so, we have to obtain a BlackBerry Passport asap.

I'll say one thing, the review over on Engadget is a first time positive review for a BB device and the commenters there seem genuinely intrigued by the design and the specs. That is a good thing.

I think the confusion here is what the Blend app for iOS and Android does: It doesn't allow you to connect your Android/iOS device to your computer and access your texts/e-mails/calendars/etc. on your computer. It allows you to connect your BlackBerry device to your Android/iOS device and access your BlackBerry's texts/e-mails/calendars/etc. on the Android/iOS device. Say, if you have an iPad or a Note or something you can use that device the same as you can use your computer in this situation.

So Blend is still only out for the Passport right now. People are just confused as to what the Android/iOS apps do and think that it's been made available for those devices before the other BB10 devices.

Ok, guys, quick and simple explanation right here.

The Blackberry Blend application is actually just a really simple web browser with a simple UI on top.
Think of it as a mini version of Google Chrome.

Essentially, it loads a webpage from your device that shows all your BBMs/contacts/calendar/etc.
So, the issue here is not with Blackberry Blend browser, it's with what that browser is loading.

On your device, you have installed an application called: sys.fuse.bar
This application is the REAL Blend.
This application checks your hardware ID and PIN. It uses this to check if you are using a Passport.
If you are not using a Passport, it simply exits. It doesn't run the web server on your device.

So when Blackberry Blend browser on your computer/tablet tries to load the webpage from your device that shows all this cool stuff, there's nothing there!
The error message hardcoded in for this event is that it is only available for RIM Internal Devices.
    @xsacha,

Surely there is more going on with this explanation.
    - your basic explanation is EXACTLY what that old mini-webserver application on S60 many years ago: Nokia Mobile Web Server
^ if BlackBerry Blend does this in simplicity with real flare and style ... then HOW exactly is it connecting to BB's NOC to verify your BBID and PIN of your device? I highly doubt BlackBerry is restricting PINs in a range ONLY for the PassPort ... if they did then THAT would be a FINITE number of PassPorts BB expects to sell inclusively regardless of time.

I don't doubt your experience or explanation ... I doubt this one specific area ... because not EVER user on PassPort will be connected through BES to get to the NOC ... unless of course again BB has restricted the current Blend app in leaked BB10.3.0 to simply never run if not connected through BES.

There's nothing to do with the noc, bes, etc. I've been working on this with sacha and blend app on the phone has checks built into it. If it's a white listed pin (the list is in the bar) or its a passport/p9983 it runs, otherwise the blend process on the phone stops.

Detecting a new network connection - either based on USB connection and mobile hotspot is enabled or with BBLink having installed local network connections on your computer and your windows firewall has it enabled for connections. This has nothing to do with Blend.

To clarify he never said it was connecting to the NOC or BES to verify your BBID or PIN. He said the actual app that is installed on the phone verifies if the phone is a Passport or if your PIN is whitelisted in the app. This is built into the app. If you have the app installed on a Passport or a device with a whitelisted PIN it will work. If the device has neither, per the apps requirements, it will simply exit the app. Note, PINs aren't restricted per the list, they are allowed per the list, all other PINs will not work. And, all Passports will work based on being a Passport, not based on the PIN.

    I hope that clarifies it.

But I don't and can't and I also think it is VERY UNFAIR of BB to not let all users use it. As a SHAREHOLDER I want to use this software, of which all shareholders have helped to pay for, NOW!!!!!

My problem with tying this to the "official" software release is that everybody in the known world will be running blend and enjoying it, while
I'll be sitting here a year from now waiting on Verizon to finish carrier testing before my phone will allow it to be used. (If they decide to carrier test an OS for a phone they've stopped selling already)

The PINs are in addition to Passport/Classic.
It's not connecting to any BB Server. It's just the app on the phone checking your hwid and pin. The app is what displays the real Blend data that you see on tablet/PC.
