Turns out that it doesn't work with the 10.3.0.1052 leak - Blend reports "Restricted to RIM internal devices only"

It looks like you have to revert to 10.2.1 to use Blend for now, or get the version of 10.3 on the Passport.

    Perhaps it'll work with .1154?

Seems like it's not a 10.3 issue. You need the updated blend bar file, which is still not in app world
People on 10.2.1 are reporting that Blend is saying you need 10.3 to use it. I recall Gadway said the same thing during his talk

Don't get your hopes up yet.
The software is not working yet as it has not been opened by blackberry.
However, it should start working before the end of the day. But it might be for only BB Passport.(not sure)

They haven't dropped the cockblock yet; I suspect that goes away shortly as they're handing out devices at the launch event and shopblackberry has them unlocked up for sale right now.

I don't think it has to do with the bar. It looks as if it's connecting to the servers to check if your BB ID is 'approved' for connection.

    Apparently not:

Ok, guys, quick and simple explanation right here.

The Blackberry Blend application is actually just a really simple web browser with a simple UI on top.
Think of it as a mini version of Google Chrome.

Essentially, it loads a webpage from your device that shows all your BBMs/contacts/calendar/etc.
So, the issue here is not with Blackberry Blend browser, it's with what that browser is loading.

On your device, you have installed an application called: sys.fuse.bar
This application is the REAL Blend.
This application checks your hardware ID and PIN. It uses this to check if you are using a Passport.
If you are not using a Passport, it simply exits. It doesn't run the web server on your device.

So when Blackberry Blend browser on your computer/tablet tries to load the webpage from your device that shows all this cool stuff, there's nothing there!
The error message hardcoded in for this event is that it is only available for RIM Internal Devices.

Shucks! I really got excited there for a moment. I guess we will have to wait for the "official" 10.3 update to hit so that the sys.fuse.bar does allow non-Passports to work.
