Although Blend is still a young product lacking lots of important functionalities (text editing, contacts editing, third party integration) I aboslutely love it and hope BBRY is pushing hard on its development.

It is steadily replacing thunderbird as my main desktop mail app and that thanks to the advanced integration with my Q10.

I was just thinking this and needed to find a thread to shout my praises. It's just so great. Incoming call notifications are great when your phone is on Silent, charging in the other room. Editing and sharing documents back and forth with colleagues is so damn easy! Outlook is still king at work, but the ubiquitous nature, file integration, and SMS/BBM access of Blend is just awesome.

It's very rudimentary right now. There's still a lot of work to be done.

Yes, we'll see in the next few months if they release new versions with bug-fixes and new features or if it will be like channels

I would like to disable email accounts on Blend and only have BBM and TEXT messaging working/notifications. Is that possible to do ? I use Outlook all day long and having email messages on Outlook and Blend is redundant for my needs. But having access to Text and BBM is useful and handy.

I left my phone at home and connected to my Passport from work.

I thought the phone had to be in close proximity to the computer. The iPhone guys were impressed with that, although they did tell me they could iMessage through their computer.

That's the core difference. iMessage, you're connecting to an Apple service from Apple devices. Blend, you're connecting to a BB10 device from any device.
