I have a couple PCs, my main is Windows 7, but I still use an XP system.

    Both have Link installed.

I upgraded my Z30 to the official 10.3.1, and would like to use Blend.

How should I tackle this to avoid problems?

    Thanks Forum!

Down the newest version: it will update Link, install Blend, and update the phone drivers all in one convenient package.

Sorry if I may be mis-understanding the software, are Link and Blend 2 separate but integrated applications?

I thought if I had Blend on my phone, I should have that on my PC(s) and uninstall Link?

I want to be careful so I don't mess up drivers etc. Thanks again

When you down load Blend it will update everything.

They are related in that they use the same services and such to communicate with your BlackBerry, but each application serves different purposes. You can use both applications with the same BlackBerry.

    Thanks!
I de-selected all preferences on Link before I uploaded and installed Blend from blackberry.com, then I installed the Blend package and it upgraded Link also, including all drivers etc.

Getting it up and running was a bit slow, I had to be patient and re-start etc. Logged in via USB cable, but I see that if a wifi is used, the Blackberry ID is needed, plus the device unlock password.

Its looking good so far! I am still a bit unclear on the best ways to use each application, but that will probably become evident as I increase my usage and familiarity with each.

Believe it or not, I am the tech goto guy for my friend who bought a Passport a few months ago, and now that I have 10.3.1 I am looking forward to helping him improve his systems integration and efficiency using Blend and Link.

    Thanks again everyone!

p.s. - if anyone has problems doing what I did, I can try to help

I am trying to connect my BB Z10 with blend but there is always a single message by BB Blend, "Can't find the network adapter for blackberry virtual private network. Please remove, then reinstall, the blackberry 10 desktop software applications." I have uninstalled and reinstalled 10 or more times but no solution at all. Please support.
