Any quick advice on the best way to swap KEYOnes (Screen Issue).
Mine is set the way I like it - would like to make the move as seemlessly as possible.

Ensure backup to Google is set with all app data. Get your new keyone, tap devices during setup, wipe the old then send it back.

    Thank you
Just set up Google Back-up. Is there a way to see when the last backup was?

For me I can access in the Google Drive app. You can also see activity via Google app settings on device or via browser.

    Go to settings/(under personal) Google

Then choose "setup nearby device" to start the transfer from existing keyone

Good luck on the new one

I may be missing something - but overall I am very disappointed with this.
PLEASE Chime in if I am missing something or am not understanding the process.

"Set Up Near By Device" is not recognizing the new phone. I did turn on Bluetooth and NFC. Granted I tried this after I went through the BB Device Switch Process.

Unfortunately that process took 5-6 hours and was good for 3500 texts and my pictures. Contacts went too though that wasn't necesary since I have them w/ Google already.

I did receive a screen that said something along the lines of "enter your password for these email addresses to use them on this device" - but the there was no where to enter the passwords (in Hub or otherwise). So I am going to be setting them up manually (settings and all).

Apps need to be manually installed from my Library.

Most disappointing is settings didnt transfer.

You would think since you are just swapping devices there would be something that would simply transfer EVERYTHING to the new device - basically copy and transfer the image.

I may try and factory reset the new device and try "setup nearby device" as mentioned above.

    Any advice or input appreciated.

I presume it is the transfer of photos that took up most of that time. That is something I do myself, manually. Same with music, docs, video, etc. Actually, I generally try copying photos off my phone as soon as I can.

Again, my apps did transfer, well, not transfer directly but they were automatically downloaded over the next x hours to the new KeyOne.

I looked around a bit and I did not find "setup nearby device" or whatever? That sounds handy if it works.

for contacts and email, just save all the contacts to your gmail and none on your device itself.

for photos/videos you can use google photos for unlimited back up, or use google drive and manually transfer them. Also, make sure if you go the google photos route, you make sure you select ALL the folders you want to be synced, because the default is just the main camera folder

for apps, the default setting saves app data so you should be good there.

settings will no transfer. The only items you should really use that for is to transfer Text messages. Emails, photos, app installs, calendar and contacts should be done through Google and will ocurr flawlessly.

those items did transfer (minus the 4 email accounts - I had a notification that they were waiting for a password but had no access to enter the password)

One of the big pluses of Android is customization (settings etc). I love it
For the everyday user - what would be useful is an image transfer. Wallpaper/settings etc. etc. included. What we have access to is decidely NOT that,
For a Device to same device swap, I dont see how this would be hard to accomplish.
