Is it possible to send a text message by pressing the button enter on textra?
Normally, Yes. Go to Settings to set it up.
Not sure with KEYone, though.
what other phone has an enterbutton?
Physical button? Priv.
Virtual button? All Android slabs.
Impossible with the stock app but doable with Textra and perhaps Yatta as well.
Yes, available on Yaata.
Using SMS apps (stock or not) when Hub should be an SMS client that provide a full in-line reply experience. Lame on BlackBerry's part...
i have textra and it doesnt work.
aahh now i found it. ok thanks. anyone knows if its possible to answer a text the same time while in another ap? like on bb10.
You can somewhat do that with Textra.
how?
Install Textra and you will see pretty quick as soon as you receive a text. When you tap a message from anywhere (Hub or Notification tray) it will pop as an overlay card from which you can reply or dismiss while the app you were on while tapping the message stays in the background and is immediately available as soon as the messages is swiped away or replied to which you can do by typing and hitting the Enter button.
Very handy and the most 'in-line' UX that exists until one day BlackBerry will decide to do things right and all they way and that is make Hub an SMs client. I promise everyone here that if and when that happens these sorts of threads will stop and we'll move on to optimizing the experience rather than beg for the obvious....
ok. yea that i know, but i dont like that it covers the screen. i moved it on the bb10. just a small textfiler åt the top not coverimg anythin. saves a few seconds per Day just that one feature
Yes on textra and yaata.
This can be done via chat heads (annoying as heck) or the pop-up, which is almost identical to the "toast" notifications on bb10, but enter to send would not work while using that because it's more of an Android feature and not a feature of either of those apps.
I forgot how it was on textra, but yaata lets you customize every single aspect of that, even which contacts get the pop-up and which do not.
