At random times, sound will stop working on the device.

    Checked volume etc.

    Example, no sound from youtube.

Skype, no sound, mic won't work.

Requires a reboot, fixes it, then say after a week or so it'll happen again.

Anyone else experiencing the same? OS fully up to date.

Download or run Blackberry Virtual Expert and test the speaks (and mic).

Might you have installed some app that affects sound?

I know that when I take a screen shot on my Priv (Power button + Vol down), that sometimes it resets the volume way down low or even off.

Tried to install that app based on another thread but in true blackberry fashion... the blackberry virtual expert is not supported on a blackberry keyone lol

It's possible some app may be affecting it, not sure which one though, but they're all from the play store and non are sideloaded apks

    Sorry about BBVE not available.

But you can try booting into Safe Mode. That omits all apps but the basics.

Press and Hold Power button. Then press and hold the Power Off PROMPT - yes the text prompt. Accept Safe Mode. It should offer to boot to safe mode. See if things work normally. If not - hardware most likely. If it works, some app is the problem.

One caution, when exiting Safe Mode, apps you have installed on the Home screens and widget may be gone. You will have to re-add them.

Convenience key mutes calls which is rather inconvenient.

Wish they'd add a setting to turn that feature off and make off the default setting.

Yeh it's not muting calls, sound is stopping, any sound from calls, they can't hear me I can't hear them, on Skype, WhatsApp or normal called

    Videos, no sound, youtube etc

After a restart, fine a again.

I guess blackberry built this feature into their android handset as rebooting a blackberry is supposed to be nostalgic

I just received my keyone (bought open box from Amazon, looks/seems to be flawless unused) and I'm having the same issue with no sound whatsoever. Tried rebooting several times as well as safe mode to no avail.

Anybody help any insight into this? It's driving me nuts and I have that feeling that there's something very obvious I'm forgetting to switch or something. My last BB was Q10 and I've been on Nexus 6 and Pixel in the meantime. Excited to be back and I love this phone, but I'm not so jazzed about this audio (or lack thereof) thing.

    Thanks for any help!
