It says ringer is set to silent and the bell has a slash through it and the line is greyed out. I opened the phone app and went to settings and then sound and vibration and can't find any way to make the phone ring. I restarted the phone but that didn't work. Help! Thanks in advance.

It might lead to the same setting...

Main Settings, Sound - check the various sliders.

Or further down that page, check your "Do Not disturb" settings.

Hi there and thanks much for your reply. Right after I posted, I found a "Do Not Disturb" alert on my main settings page - absolutely no idea how my phone set it to do that. But my phone often does crazy things with sound, usually turning the ring volume down so I can barely hear it it. Thanks again for taking the time to respond
