I started noticing the KEYᵒⁿᵉ slowing down, so I downloaded Trepn. Come to find 2 of the 4 cores work. Sometimes I get all 4, but often its just 2. How can I diagnose this and fix this problem? Anyone else have similar issues?

Just went in again, to see all 4 giving activity. Sometimes I read the 2 sleep then start when there is activity. But they didnt start when I started to do more and opened more apps. I had to restart the device..

Isn't there supposed to be 8 of those graphs, in that case? The SD 625 is octa-core.

i dont know.. i only get the 4 graphs shown.. and i dont like that 2 shown are not working sometimes.. maybe i have a defected device... ?

i guess it does say, FIRST 4 cores.. maybe it can't show all 8

It sounds like the app itself may have some limitations or possible bugs. I wouldn't rely on this as any indicator of your device being defective. Get someone else to try the app and see what results they get.

Unfortunately I don't have a K1 so I can't try it.

I think this might be big.LITTLE which the Snapdragon 625 supports,

The idea behind big.LITTLE is that the big, power-hungry cores only spin up when heavy lifting needs to be done, with the little cores keeping the plates spinning in between those bursts of activity.

if the others are spinning almost their max, I feel like they should be on. and I can feel the device lagging. thats when I know to open the app, and sure enough, some cores are sleeping

I downloaded the app. My phone does not lag and shows all 4 running. So something seems wrong with what yours is doing.

keep an eye on it.. if it seems to be lagging, open the app and see if you ever see 2 and 3 at 0. mine are not always at 0. sometimes they all work also.
