this is obviously a major setback coming from a Blackberry Passport. The keyboard scrolling with the Passport was smooth as silk no matter how you held the phone.

The keyboard scrolling on the Keyone on the other hand feels weird and unpredictable. It is choppy and slow compared to the Passport. Sometimes you accidentally scroll when your finger leaves the keyboard.

Also the touch sensitive keyboard acts differently depending on how you hold the phone in your hand. If you hold the phone sideways all three rows on the keyboard can be used to scroll up and down while having a good finger travel distance.

If you hold the phone normally only the top two rows are touch sensitive. This shrinks your finger travel distance even more. Scrolling up while holding the phone normally is pointless at the moment.

This gets even worse because most apps don't support keyboard shortcuts like on BB OS10. The button {T} brought you to the top of the page/app and {B} brought you to the bottom. {P} and {N} brought you to the next/previous page...All of these are missing. Only the hub supports {T}and {B}.

Is there any chance that TCL / Blackberry Mobile fixes these issues in future updates?

I really don't like buying a new phone in 2017 just to find myself be in an inferior position from a technical point of view compared to the phone I owned before.

Not really true. There are a few other apps that use it as well but maybe you just don't use them.

It can likely be improved but the chances of it being on par with BlackBerry 10 are not likely to happen, even the Priv had similar issues.
