Why would it ask device PIN in stead of showing picture password? It takes away the reason to set-up picture password in the first place.... Can this be updated soon? Thanks.

Lock screen invokes another state where none of the 'on-top' unlocking mechanisms such as picture or fingerprint unlock work. It requires the actual 'fallback' encryption password.

This is helpful in situations where you dont want your convenient weak unlock method to work. For example if you are sleeping in a hotel and you don't want to have your phone unlocked with your fingerprint by another person. You can then use the "lock screen' shortcut.

To have your behavior as a shortcut, this needs to be added (if possible), not replaced.

I use that shortcut on priv without issue. Phone wake to picture password
