Is there a way for one to browse the Web privately without Google monitoring?

I looked into Firefox, but they submit Web addresses to Google to check to see if they are on some list of questionable sites. Mozilla actually makes most of its income from Google.

I know you mentioned Firefox but I use Firefox focus with duckduckgo as my search function and of course a vpn helps.

No idea. I guess the bigger question would be if Google had access to all data through apps depending on how they integrated with Android and/or relied on some Google service.

I guess I was thinking a more quick and free solution lol.

I don't need ads popping up later for my wife to see from Christmas present searches for example.

Overall, I don't have a big issue since I understand it is the price to pay for all of their free services. But once in a while, it would be nice to keep some info out of their hands lol.
