I downloaded and installed the July update yesterday, and since then, I've been receiving an error message pop up that says, "Unfortunately, Google Play services have stopped." When it happens, the battery decreases by 2%.

I was at 100% this morning, and noticed phone was at 30% a couple hours later. Quickly charged it again, and in the shuttle to the airport I felt it getting extremely hot in my money belt. Took it out to find it at around 30% again.

I'm sitting in an airport about to get on a nine hour flight. Plugged into an iPad station but the phone sits at 22% now.

    It's a DTEK50. Any help?

    1) Go to Settings > Apps.
Scroll to All apps and then scroll down to “Google Play Services” app.
Open the app details and tap on the “Force stop” button.
Then, tap on the “Clear cache” button.

    2) Go to Settings > Apps.
Scroll to All apps and then scroll down to “Google Services Framework” app.
Open the app details and tap on the “Force stop” button.
Then, tap on the “Clear cache” button.

    3) Reboot.

Thank you. Google told me the same thing, but Force Stop is grayed out and not an option.
