So... United Airlines has free onboard wireless entertainment. It works through the United Airlines app.

It is compatible with current iOS and Android devices (including Marshmallow).

However, DTEK50 is apparently not compatible. Error message states "Your Android device is currently not supported for personal device entertainment..."

The wife's iPhone worked just fine... along with numerous Samsungs and LG's all around me.

So much for bringing BB into the realm of compatibility...!

Sounds like you're trying to blame BlackBerry for a United app problem. They control the compatibility list.

Whoa, their app doesn't work on any device > 4.3?! That's insane. I'd be looking to fire someone over that.

I've never tried it with an Android device. I'll definitely try next week.

No that one is Android. Like with some android based phones (Samsung) certain apps will not work on certain phones or certain phones running specifics versions of Android making the Android ecosystem so fragmented and frustrating. I have to say that that is the one thing that is attractive about iOS is that it is more stable with stricter app requirements as to be allowed access to the iTunes app store.
When I made the move to Android a few years ago I had great expectations with all the freedoms I was to gain coming from iOS, yet with all the inconsistencies/Bugs, incompatibility it was a let down for me.

BB10 and it's fluid and solid build was the Rock I needed and I will do with less I guess but I have what I need.
