i recently downloaded the verizon plus messaging app and am very pleased with it. the app icon on my home screen is red, as is the little notification star if there are messages waiting to be read. i have fully customized the app to my liking, as well as the LEDs and sounds. i know i'm being a little obsessive, but is there any way to change the color of the little star or create a custom icon because being both red, it's difficult to see.

You could try to draw one with photoshop maybe and then replace the icon using Awesome Icons app

thanks, that app states it will not work in the app drawer. do you know if the app drawer include the bottom row of apps? i'm looking to change just one app icon, in the bottom row. i'd be ok with just changing it's color.

It should work in the bottom row.
