Growing up with a "dial" phone it took me sometime to learn the new lingo associated with today's words.
And considering kids today never heard of the Beatles, have ever seen a record player or can even begin to comprehend the idea of the Telephone Answering Machine
I thought I'd step in and bring you up to date on the latest lingo.
I believe you are referring to the DIAL PAD! ( We'll make a pro of you in no time)

I'm afraid I can't answer your question though but I wanted to be sure that when someone with that knowledge comes along to answer your issue they won't wonder what a dialer is.

Unfortunately BlackBerry have not made a telephone app for the blackdroid devices.

The embedded app is stock google and it sucks big time.

There are lotsa threads and posts complaining about it, but apparently BlackBerry hasn't indicated they're contemplating doing their own.

While I know this doesn't answer the concerns of the OP, we do have the option of using other dialers. I agree that the default Google dialer is lacking. My preferred alternative is Truecaller. The most recent version has a dark theme, and has baked in SMS functionality (but appears to lack group SMS/MMS).

I'm using true phone which is pretty good but what still bothers me is why do I need to see who I called in the hub .

I removed my call history from the Hub, since I'm using Truecaller.

just a quick question.. maybe slightly off-topic, but what dialer do current DroidBerry devices like dtek50/60, priv, etc use?

I hope it's the google "phone" app with "swipe-up" to answer calls and has visual voicemail built-in.. i dislike having a separate app to check voicemail and that dumb swipe left to reject, swipe up to text and swipe right to answer non-sense.

It's the stock no frills latter one you mentioned. BlackBerry really need to make their own.
