If you get into power up into the boot menu (pwr button and volume down) there is no way to boot to your home screen other than by way of an autoloader if you already have the latest software on your device.

That means your device is bricked until you either wait for the BBM server to provide a later version than your running so for the Upgrade Tool to work or you use a autoloader.

I called support after going on the odyssy of trying to boot to the home screen and they wanted me to send the device in for repairs. Thankfully the CB community was able to remedy my bricked device by providing an autoloader.

BBM or TCL - fix your boot menu so that when you choose to boot up (not fastboot) it actually will allow the device boot normally. I can't believe this is still broken - I read similar accounts of this problem occurring on the Priv.

Huh? Guess you're the lucky one given others can't and BBM support is aware of the issue.
