PRIV being an Android flagship and all, they should either update it to at least N or open the bootloader for indie devs and customers to install 3rd party Android versions to keep it alive and secure.

Open the Bootloader.... will not happen. BlackBerry users have long dreamed of this (PlayBook users especially), as most recent hardware is pretty generic and the same as most any Android device out there. They are sold as secure devices, and will remain that way.... move on.

Should the PRIV get Nougat, of course it should. Not sure anyone is arguing that. Some are just trying to justify it and say it won't affect things going forward as BlackBerry Mobile is not BlackBerry.

Companies that have growing and thrive business... will provide updates to their users. Companies that don't.... tend to leave their users hanging. It's over for BlackBerry's Hardware division, what happens with TCL and their branding.... we will see how sales go.
