I am new to having a BB on the BES server, I have to say I love the remote syncing.

    My question is this:

The other day my device asked for a password, which I entered, and now the keyboard lock is on.

    I can't turn it off.

I feel like my admin placed a lock on my phone, and now I have to use the keyboard lock feature. Is this possible?

Also, I know they can log SMS and everything else.

Can they log BBM's as well?

Yes, a BES admin can enforce a password lock on your device. If you look in your password settings and see that the password enable/disable function is grayed out with a small red padlock icon beside it, that means the password function is being controlled by an IT Policy put in place by your BES Admin.

The BES admin can log BBMs. For other functions the BES admin can see or control, see here:
Can a BES administrator read my PIN and/or SMS messages and see my phone call logs?
Yes, if the BES is version 4.1 or newer and the device is o/s code 4.1 or later.
    • Starting with BES 4.1, the BES admin can log all PIN and SMS messages to the BES server, including the content of those messages.
    • BlackBerry Messenger messages and conversations can also be audited by the BES administrator.
    • In addition, the administrator can view all phone calls made/received to the device including date/time, number dialed, and the name of the person you are calling or who called you if that name is listed in your contact list.

Just an FYI, the link may have been from Motorcycle Momma, but I wrote that article.
