Not sure if this is the fight place to inquire.
I purchased a 9300 Curve that was obviously tied into BES at one time. Whenever I try to set up my personal email (Gmail for example) I'm asked to log in my BES account - which I don't have.
Is there any way I can eliminate this.

    Thanks in advance.

Should also mention that if you do NOT have a BIS data plan feature on your service plan, you will NOT be provided the personal email option and only have the BES activation option displayed. Do you actually have a BIS data plan on your service?

Thanks for helping out a noob, guys. The two sites recommended by sith_Apprentice just might do the job. Believe it or not, this is the 4th Curve I got from eBay and all of them had this problem.

No I don't have the BIS data plan. That would be nice if that solved the problem. Do I have to get my service (AT&T) to put me on the plan?

AT&T will need to provision the appropriate data plan for your service. Yes you will need to call them.

The fastest way to remove the IT policy is to use the loader.exe app. It is installed automatically with any BlackBerry OS installation on your Windows PC or with BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    Find any firmware here:

    Use instructions here to reset:
