There is no change log. All you have to do is load it.

No, you need to update your device to a 9720 to be able to use this OS

It is so weird. I upgraded my 9720 to 1121. The only problem is the Chinese typing support is missing. Faint!

That would require a jAllLang version of 1121.

Thanks. I think so but where to get this version? I am in Canada. 9720 is way too rare:-)

I will try and get a offline installer for you ASAP, would be from a lower build.

    Cheers

@thurask: Excatlly I was hit by this problem.

Thurask: I am thus wondering if you have restored the Chinese input support by upgrading to that "jAllLang" build? On the BlackBerry download website it says that build is to support Japanese Input support.

Look forward to your confirmation. Otherwise I'll have to find a way to downgrade to previous version in which the chinese type support is working.

If you remove what you've installed, delete the OS from the shared/loader folder, reboot, then re install this j version, re run the installer, and just pick the Chinese input. You shouldn't need to reload the complete os.

Confirm that the "j" version works. I mean, after install the jAllLang version, I can type in Chinese now.

Confusing that on BlackBerry website (https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...wseSoftware.do), only Japanese is mentioned, whereas that Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indi, Vietnamese are all supported by this build, including displaying and typing. A few more words on that webpage would just cost nothing to BlackBerry or O2 people, isn't it.

    Anyway, thanks for the help.

    @Kill Bill Mill

I already upgrade my 9720 to build 1121 M version (237M), now to get the Chinese input work, what should I do? I mean how do I get the j version installed? Because I uninstalled M version from my PC, and installed J version to the PC. Then connected 9720 with my PC, run the loader.exe to install the j version. However, I can't see any core apps and language app, only the 3rd party apps.

I guess I need to downgrade the 9720 to build 1096 first? How to do that?

    Thank you very much!

j radio has the ability to input japanese plus more of the Asian characters. the first original post was a M file which means multi lingual targeted for rest of the world with Portuguese input etc. I was going to find something from the older build but got busy.

Hi zocster, can you detail the procedure? I already upgraded my 9720 to 1121 M version. Now I unstalled the M version from my PC and get j version installed. When I connected 9720 to the PC and run the loader.exe to install the j version, I can't see core apps and built-in language apps. What should I do to get the Chinese/Janpanese input back? Thanks a lot!

Did you reboot the PC prior to installing the j version? Did you also delete the shared folder where the M is located?

@zocster The problem is fixed by installing the j version on another PC. Thank you very much!
