Hi, just got my 9720 yesterday, great.

But how do I stop the stupid calender reminders when I get an email?

Every time I get an email the alert icon lights up, I press the screen icon (in the top alert bar) and it shows the email, but underneath it shows my next 3 calender activities why?

I don't need reminding 50 times a day that I've got a dentist appointment in January.

How can I stop that, help , please.

I don't think you can actually turn that off... Not sure to be honest.. I had the 9900 with the same issue! Got used to it after a while..

Thanks Bounty Hunter, typical case of technology companies setting your priorities for you, makes it unusable as a diary, only option is to delete all entries.
