I have a Z10 and I want a secondary phone with good battery life and the phone should be thin and handy...when I heard about the release of 9720, I was waiting for it to come in stock to order one...but when I read it a review here on crackberry...I was disappointed with the phone just because of its ram and processor...should I go for the 200mhz faster 9790 or will the 9720 be having no problems? But if I will get the os of 9720 on 9790, then i'll buy 9790 without any doubt...so please help me out guys....

If i had to choose between those two options, I would choose the 9790. Even as an older device, the 9790 is more advanced except for the FM radio.

The 9720 has a bigger screen but I prefer Bolds - the 9790 has more PPI even though it is the same resolution on a smaller screen.

I agree but depending on your usage scenario the 9720 is better than the 9790.
They are two models of 9790 and both are only tri-band UMTS, either 850/1900/2100 or 900/AWS/2100. You have to choose between two band coverage in AP/Europe and T-Mobile AWS in the US or a single international band and ATT 850/1900 bands in the USA.
The 9720 is quad-band UMTS: 850/900/1900/2100 - it has the two most common bands for both the US and the rest of the world, especially Europe.

your thoughts is similar to mine, want a better phone but don't want to pay more for it, hehe

my suggestion is waiting for 9720, like me. 9790 have a smaller screen and the keyboard is not as comfortable as you think, because it's too small.

If the size of the 9720 is equal to the bold 9000 then I won't be buying it since its too big for my liking...since I want a small and handy one....

Yes, 9720 and 9900 have the same size, the same body size and the same screen size. But trust me, a bigger screen is never be the problem, it will bring you better user experience, you will love it.
