Can anyone help with info about how to Copy contacts/messages/photos/Memos etc over from 9720 backed up on BB Desktop to Key2? Even central London Tech Guys at my service provider seem to have not a clue....

I highly doubt that it's possible. We are talking two totally different OSs one being a long EOL (end of life) OS. IF you had both devices you MIGHT be able to get your cell provider to do a transfer of info via a cellibrite (I may not be spelling that right) machine, which can connect any 2 phones and do data transfers.

you can transfer your info from your 9720 to the Key2 using BlackBerry Transfer app from BlackBerry World and Google Play store

OK so the Transfer app didn’t work. But there was a workaround....the VodaFone tech guy could plug my 9720 into the laptop, lift all my contacts and then put them onto my new Key2. They’re a bit of a mess, as in some duplicated 2 or 4 times, but on a long plane journey or 6 I can edit that out. It’s a result.

Less successful with memos, and as my email accounts have quit working on the 9720 courtesy of lovely yahoo I did a copy to text and sent them to my new phone that way....nothing as cool to store them on Key2 as the old MemoPad in apps but hey, at least the info is transferred over.
