Well I've been waiting for this, I can now listen to my office unified messaging voicemail on my bb. [cisco voicemail] I had hoped that that the 8700 would do this, but didn't.

...no, no, don't stop there, we need more details on this! We have Cisco 'stuff' at my office too. As a matter of fact, we're looking into an IP phone system...

    well
we're fully deployed w/ cisco IPT/VOIP(have been since 2004) [I'm an early adopter of all technologies].

we have unified messaging which creates a WAV file of a their voicemail in our users mailboxes. Thus they have had 2 ways to listen to their voicemail via their computeror via the phone; well now we(with 8800s,who need to 'test' them) can listen to our wav files.

Go to a voicemail message, subjects are 'Message from 6105551212' for example, and click 'open attachment' the WAV file will download and play.

the file size are 100-300k on average.

Should you be able to listen to any wav file that comes as an attachment in email? I have Vonage and I get voicemails sent to my msn account but I haven't been able to get the wav attachments to open on my 8800 yet.

I think from what I have read, listening to .wav attachents is only available to BES users.

I was able to listen to my vonage voicemails (wav files) before I downloaded BBSmart Email Viewer. Now I get an error on the conversion process.

Is it advisable to install BBSmart Viewer before Vonage Softphone?
