vzw 8830 w/ 4.2

I go into vzw store and the curves are playing youtube videos.

Any ideas?

8830 doesn't support youtube and the like without an OS upgrade to the beta 4.5 that's currently out. At least, that's how it is to my knowledge.

Only OS4.3 and above have streaming protocols. That means 8130 and 8330 phones only. 8830 has OS4.2 which doesn't support this. Upgrade to a leaked OS version if you want the support early or wait for Verizon to release the OS eventually.

That'll only take like another 1 or 2! VZW site still have like 4.2 listed with an updated version than what's already on the phone.

Yea I'm still waiting for the official release so I can get back on the youtube, I was able to on my treo 700wx but I missed the bb world too much, so I gave up the streamin video to get off the un-reliable windows mobile to a steady BB OS.

I can wait... For now that is.

With VZW the newest os will be out when the next os after that is released.......forever they have to get the OS then cripple it.....
