I looked for a forum to try and get some help for this, but I just want to make sure that what I am doing is the best thing. I can not afford to buy another phone at regular price or even the repair costs, so I need to do this on my own. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I dropped my phone (accidentally, of course) into a pot of water. It hit the rim (dropped from apx. one foot up) of the pot and fell into the water (had some soup clumps in it (hopefully none got in... Afterwards, I received a call shortly after and I tried to answer it, but when I was connected, there was no sound. Then when I tried to move my trackball or type something in, the Blackberry would go erratic. I immediately decided to turn off the phone. I left it out to dry and eventually, I put it next to a high speed fan for a few hours. I turned it on, and it gave exactly three blinking lights then two blinking lights, but the screen did not turn on. Today, I tried to use a blowdryer for about 30 minutes but still to no avail... . Is there any thing else I can do? I may even consider taking apart the phone to dry the pieces individually, but I really do not want to take the risk. My phone is completely dead right now, and honestly, I need it to function to an extent ( a little bit of an exaggeration)...
    Thank you,
    Daniel

Rice does nothing. I left my razor in my pocket when i jumped into the lake. It still worked so i took the battery out asap. I stuck it in a bag of rice for 2 days and it did nothing. I ended up taking the keyboard off and there was a ton of water on the inside. Blow dryer with the cold button held in and it was good as new.

Thanks for the ideas. I am a little weary of taking apart my Blackberry...
I did blowdry it but without taking out the parts. Is there any way to take apart the phone w/o losing the warranty?
I may do the rice thing as a last minute attempt....

A friend of mine went swimming with his BB. He immediately pulled the battery and placed his phone in front of/next to the exhaust of his freezer. Left it there overnight and it dried it out and works perfectly. Might want to try that.
