Are there any Alltel users who view this as a good deal? Welcome to the iron rule of Verizon. I don't know what Alltel's policy was concerning the 8830 but Kiss any free apps good-bye and get ready to pay, pay, pay.
....but at least the coverage is best of class - and in the end, that is more important than a working GPS or I wouldn't be with VZW.
We have had Alltel/360 Communications for over 15 years and have always been impressed with their service. I am actually happy that Verizon is making a bid for Alltel. I think that it will make an excellent combination and I will be looking forward to the upcoming Verizon BB exclusive phone. From what I have seen Verizon has good coverage and customer service so I am happy to hear this news!
