I am new to this forum so I apologize if there is a thread of this nature already posted. I love my BB but I hate that the ringer is so low. I cannot hear it when it rings. I can play songs on it and it is loud but even when I use a song as the ringtone it is very low. Does anyone know how to recitfy this. I'd hate to get rid of my BB because it is of sub-quality. You'd think BB would have had this problem fixed before putting them on the market.
Any advice, comments and/or concerns are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
If you look at the top of this subforum, there is a STICKY about using a CLASSIC ringtone. The 8830 has a known limitation (defect, if you will) that makes ringtones low. The workaround is to get a separate ringtone file that has loud volume. There is also a sticky about using the beta os to get louder volume but stick with the CLASSIC for the moment. I can hear mine on the other floor in my house using it.
