The 8800 one doesn't work on the 8830 huh?
I did the one for my son's 8100 and that worked, didn't see anything spectacular, but lost ColorPearl.

Guy we are all in the same boat along the thousands of other that haven't posted. Maybe if I was not so addicted I would organize a group protest like not using your BB for a weekend. Not happening I would have the shakes and DT or something likre that. Yeah I am sure there are many of you in the same boat.

Then when the new OS comes out, the load won't fix your issues either. If it's a policy thing, just remove it similar to the way a BES policy is removed. Find the writeup.
