I have searched everywhere but I haven't seen anyone with the same problem. I am trying to access the desktop manager but the phone isnt being recognized. Sometimes the battery will say its charging and other times I will try to reconnect and it will only charge for a second then appears to do nothing.

EDIT. I've Tried restarting my computer and BB as well.

the usb on the computer is jacked try another port perhaps

if you inspect the usb port on your berry you will find that pins have been bent inside it or that it is loose, your berry needs to be repaired or exchanged.

mine has the same problem too, I can't connect my berry 8830 to pc either. The mini USB of the berry is bent upwards.

Err, did u make sure that the phone set *** mass storage?

Options, Memory, Mass storage support (on), and under connected set as (prompt)
