Im not paying the $10/mo for UMA, but whenever I turn my wifi on at home it connects and I get the UMA icon instead of EDGE. If I make a phone call will it actually go through UMA? And will I get charged for using it without subscribing?
From what I've read..it appears that calls through UMA go through some sort of server hosted by T-mo which makes it appear as you're calling from your #.. so the monthly fee is for THAT specific service.. since I dont have T-mo I have no idea how it works exactly.. test it? lol..
I found out on BB Forums that if you dont subscribe to @Home the calls will still go through UMA but will be treats normally as far as minutes are concerned. So pretty much UMA with @home just means faster data and stronger cell signal.
