I have an 'American' 8820 with 4.2.2.169 (Platform 2.4.067).

I have Desktop Manager 4.3 installed, and it has communicated with my 8820. I downloaded and installed the new (Chinese) OS version, deleted the .xml file, re-connected the BB, started BBDM and it does not prompt me to update the device.

What am I doing wrong? Does it have anything to do with Chinese vs English or US?

When connected to DM, click on App Loader and that should start the upgrade as long as new OS is installed to PC and not just downloaded.
