Alright I'm sure this has been asked before and I searched for it but I didn't find anything... so on with the stupid question. Is there anyway possible to send a text message longer than 160 characters with a blackberry before it says field full? A setting or third party program? Anything..

    Thanks,

    Jon

It should span several text messages if it goes over 160. The character limit of 160 is part of the SMS protocol, not a BlackBerry setting. SMS does, after all, stand for SHORT Message Service.

Well I know that tmo and att allows this... And I'm sure vzw and sprint don't...

I just purchased the 8830 from Sprint, did anyone ever find out if you can text more than 160characters during one single text. I took the Mogul back cause of constant freezing issues, but I loved the fact that u could send text messages over 160characters. ANY help???
