    Hey guys , it's my first post here ,

    Just got my 8830 WE very happy with it however now i am trying to upgrade my RIM software for my phone however when i run the automatic updates online i could only go as far as V4.2.2.176. My Desktop manager is up to date to 4.5v however i am going crazy and i can't find the proper RIM update 4.5v in order to have a Theme working propreally. i tried severals ones that states they are OS 4.5v rim update but i install them nothing happens the phone reboots i remove the battery i can't seem to get it working.

    i try the automatic update but it does not work work it states that i have the most current version for my phone.
    please help LOL!

    Phone spec.
    Blackberry 8830 WE
    V4.2.2.176 ( platform 3.0.0.76 )
    I need the 4.5. RIM in order to have my themes working properly

    Currently, on all CDMA providers, 4.2 is the latest version avaialble for the 8830. 4.5 is available as a beta release, but nobody has officially released 4.5 for the 8830.

    My advice, also having 4.5 on my 8830 is go download .101 and see how it works for you. I've had mixed success but now it seems to have evened out now that its co-operating with the BES. Send me a PM if you've got any other questions.

    I thought .51 was more stable to be honest. In my tests with .101 these past couple days, youtube videos has continued to play after I shut down the browser, videos in media player don't work and the phone doesn't get any louder without civic's hack for that.

    I have .101 on my unit now and it seems 'ok' with the same issues that the poster above mentioned. So, what the the key differences between .101 and .51?

    .51 didn't have those issues I mentioned? I don't think .77 did either.
