    Hello folks,

    So I'm thinking about getting the 8830 WE from Telus, they ship the device with 4.2.2.176. This is also the most recent update from Telus / BlackBerry for the 8830.

    US Cellular has released 4.5.0.205 for their 8830 WE's.. Could I load this on to my Telus 8830 WE (and do the whole delete vendor.xml bit, properly load the software) Would it work if I did it?

    I want 4.5 because of the support for streaming media, so in the end this will aid in my decision to get an 8830.

    Can I do it?

    I have upgrade my Os 3 times from different carriers. So in short,yes!

    4.5 OS is a must for any 8830.

    It is actually Build 205, which consists of 4.5.0.138 (3.4.0.30).

    I've got a Telus 8830 WE. I'm using the Verizon 4.5 OS without any issues.
